Operating Times:
Summer Bonanza Partnership, Inc., sponsors Summer Bonanza from June 1st - August 1st yearly, although the after school component is year round.
Participation:
Over 250 youth ages 8-14 from all over Chatham County are take part in Summer Bonanza.
Administration:
Summer Bonanza Partnership Inc. oversees the Summer Bonanza Program. The Partnership includes, but is not limited to: The Chatham County Commission, St. Joseph’s/Candler Health Systems, Union Camp Corporation, BP Oil Company, Nationsbank, Gulfstream Aerospace, Kemira Pigments, Savannah Technical Institute and countless numbers of community based organizations and agencies.
Staffing: Summer Bonanza is staffed year round by hundreds of volunteers who think it not robbery to invest time, energy and effort in our youth.
Program Features:
Individual and group activities designed to promote teamwork and group development. Computer technology workshops at Savannah Tech designed to stabilize the learning curve during the summer months and introduce youth to state of the art computer hardware and software. Volunteers that serve as positive role models and maintain discipline and respect.
