ABOUT THE FOUNDER / EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


Dr. Priscilla D. Thomas is a retired Chatham County Commissioner for the 8th District and founder of Summ20 Bonanza Partnership, Inc. and Chatham County Youth Commission. Dr. Thomas served over 25 years on the county commission and was the longest serving senior elected official to serve on the local, state, and national levels. A Savannah native, Dr. Thomas graduated from Tompkins High School; earned a M.S. Degree from Bradley University; earned a PhD Degree from North America University; and earned an Administrative Certification, Atlanta University and the University of Georgia.

Dr. Thomas is also a retired teacher/principal, and Certified Independent Meeting-Event Planner/Educational and Travel Consultant. She is the Past International President of Iota Phi Lambda Sorority, Inc., Past President of Chatham County Retired Teachers’ Association, a life-long member of Fairlawn Baptist Church, and community young activist.

Dr. Thomas is married to Mr. Nathaniel Thomas, and they have one daughter, Debra and a grandson, “CJ”.

Bishop Willie Ferrell


A husband, father, grandfather, pastor, community activist, and a public servant. Bishop Willie Ferrell is a native of Jacksonville, Florida, where he attend the local public schools. He received a bachelor degree in business administration from Jones Business College. He also attended the C.H. Mason Bible Institute of Interdenominational Theological Center (Savannah Chapter) where he received a certificate in theology.

Bishop Ferrell is currently serving as the full time senior pastor of the Royal Church of Christ, Inc. where he has served faithfully for 28 years. Bishop Ferrell loves working with people he serves as chaplain of the Savannah Chatham Metro. Police Department, the Chatham County Sheriffs Office, and the Savannah Fire Department. Bishop Ferrell has a deep love for children and youth. Bishop Ferrell served as Director of the Project Success Initiative, Director of the Beacons Program, volunteer in the local schools (S.T.A.R) Students Taking Active Responsibility - for their actions.

Community Involvement consist of the following: Leadership Savannah, United Way, Fatherhood Initiative, Ministerial Alliance, N.A.A.C.P. Crime Stoppers, to name a few. Some of Bishop Ferrell's Comunity Achievements: Olympic "Torch Bearer", W.T.O.C. Hometown Hero, Honorary State Senate Chaplain, he received the 1230 W.S.O.K. Community Service Award, and awarded a Proclamation by Chatham County Commissioner: Yusuf K. Shabazz, for Outstanding Community Service.
